What is Reiki?

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.

The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy". So Reiki is actually "spiritually guided life force energy."

A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing.

Typically, you will be lying down on-top of a massage table to receive Reiki, and it is deeply relaxing. Your practitioner will provide you with a ‘reading’ of your energy which will include describing the parts of the body that required support, energetic influences, and a guide of how you can improve your health and vitality in between sessions. 

Reiki Mindfulness Session (2hrs) $100

Reiki mindfulness sessions are a holistic approach to deepen your Reiki experience and is recommended for your first appointment with Christy.

You are your own healer; these sessions support and guide your journey to step into your power and align with your objectives. Mindfulness coaching develops insight, awareness, and self-reflection leading to improving self-connection, self-compassion, and acceptance. The wisdom teaches us to be less reactive to our environment and stress triggers. Mindfulness tools will be shared to activate a growth mindset, build confidence, and develop mindful living.

Reiki Relaxation & Balancing Sessions (1hr15min) $70

Our Reiki relaxation and balancing sessions are designed as a follow up to your Reiki Mindfulness session to nourish your whole being.

Reiki is a gentle practice that enhances your body’s own healing. The universal energy (ki) is channeled through the practitioner promoting an experience of deep relaxation with the intention of balance, harmony and rejuvenated energy to your mind, body, and spirit. Christy will seamlessly work through your chakras and the body to assist with the following: -

Mindfulness Meditation (1hr) $50

The benefits of Meditation on our mind, emotional, spiritual and physical well-being are well documented. Mindfulness Meditation involves bringing you back to the present moment cultivating self-awareness and self-reflection of your thoughts, feelings, emotions, and sensations. Experiencing them without judgement (labeling them good or bad).

You will be guided through a mindfulness meditation session, that involves you monitoring and observing your own sensations, thoughts, emotions and feelings. Once completed, we will discuss the session, offering guidance and support to understanding, acceptance, transformation and empowerment.
